Forrest H.
Private tutor in Vero Beach, FL
Education
B.S. Mechanical Engineering from UCF (Summa Cum Laude & University Honors/Burnett Honors College Graduate), minor in international engineering, 2016
Experience
During college, I helped tutor my peers informally in many difficult courses, and I’m proud to say they all went on to graduate and get great jobs! Before college, I babysat and mentored boys ages 6 – 13 both privately and as a YMCA Camp Counselor, and made a significant impact on their lives by serving as a positive role model. I also served as a UCF engineering advisor for freshmen, helping them get started at school. I am now available to help middle and high school kids with their math and science, and use real-world, fun examples to make the material not just relevant and interesting, but exciting. My tutoring method is to learn what the child is passionate about, then guide the lesson at their pace while still actively challenging them and keeping it fun! On another note, I can help greatly with scholarships and/or studying abroad, as I received a record 33 scholarships and completed three study abroad programs while at UCF.
